Our last day of hol & needed another good sail: I've been up at Flag Beach for the last 3 days hoping to test sail an 86l Goya wave board, but there was just never enough wind to get out - so just had to improve my all over tan some more! Anyhow, I've put my name down for one the Goya's when Ben gets round to selling his '03 boards at the end of Aug.

Similar conditions as last time, but sllightly stronger gusts. This is a truly amazingly gusty place - one minute your absolutely maxed out with a 4.7, trying to keep the nose down, the next moment, you get dumped to windward as the wind switches off completely. You then struggle to waterstart until the next gust rips not just the rig out of your hands, but takes the board out of the water, too! You can never really relax & get comfortable.

Now my rough footstraps are starting to show as I get blisters at the bottom of my big toes, desperately trying to keep myself anchored to the board.

That said, it was a fantastic session - even to the point of pulling of most of my gybes on the outside in the slop & chop - even planing out of some of them! Some amazing jumps, but alas fewer waves as the tide was pretty high & springy today.

A good session to finish the hol on. Now, what's it doing back home??
